Privacy Policy
Effective 2026-10-16
This Privacy Policy explains how LIFT Consulting, LLC (“LIFT,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit our website at liftfactor.co (the “Website”) or use the LIFT Factor application at app.liftfactor.co and related services (the “Service”).
The short version
- On our Website, we count visits anonymously and collect what you type into our demo form.
- In the Service, your organization decides what employee and candidate information goes in. We process it on your organization’s behalf, only to run the Service.
- We don’t sell personal information for money, and we don’t let AI providers train their models on your data.
- You can reach us about anything in this policy at hello@liftconsultinghq.com.
1. Our role
For Website visitors, demo requests, and account and billing information, LIFT decides how the information is used (we are the “controller” or “business”).
For information your organization puts into the Service — about its employees, candidates, and teams (“Customer Data”) — your organization is in charge, and LIFT processes it on your organization’s instructions (we are a “processor” or “service provider”). If you are an employee or candidate whose information is in LIFT Factor because of your employer or a company you applied to, that organization’s privacy notice also applies, and requests about your information should usually go to them first. We will help them respond.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Demo requests and inquiries: your name, work email, company, company size, role, phone number (if you give it), the numbers you enter in our turnover cost calculator, and anything else you choose to tell us.
- Client introductions: when someone (for example, a Sorren provider) introduces a client to us, we collect the introducer’s name, email, and phone (if given), plus what they tell us about the client: company, name, a description of the client’s needs, and, if they ask us to reach out directly, the client’s email and phone. We use it only to follow up on the introduction.
- Account information: name, email, employer, job title, and sign-in details (including when you sign in with Google or Microsoft).
- Billing information: company name and billing contact. Card and payment details are handled by our payment processor, Stripe; we never see or store full card numbers.
Customer Data in the Service
Depending on which modules your organization uses, Customer Data can include: org structure, roles, and reporting lines; assessment results, 360 feedback, and culture and motivator profiles; development plans, goals, and performance reviews; compensation and pay-band information; training enrollments, progress, and quiz results; AI role-play recordings, transcripts, and scores; meeting notes, action items, and habit tracking; and, in the Hire module, candidate applications, resumes, interview notes, assessments, and signed documents.
Information collected automatically
- Website visit counting: when you first visit one of our landing pages, we record the page, the date, the campaign tags in the link you followed (such as “utm_campaign”), the website that referred you, and whether you’re on a phone or a computer. We don’t record your IP address or assign you an identifier. Your browser keeps a small note (in local storage, not a cookie) that it has already been counted; that note never leaves your device.
- Service usage and logs: pages and features used, actions taken, IP address, browser and device type, and error and performance data, used to operate, secure, and improve the Service.
- Cookies: the Service uses essential cookies to keep you signed in. The Website may use advertising tags — see section 6.
Information from connected services
If your organization connects an integration, such as Microsoft 365, we receive the information that integration is authorized to share (for example, calendar or meeting details) and use it only to provide the connected feature.
3. How we use information
- To provide, maintain, secure, and support the Service.
- To respond to demo requests and communicate with you about LIFT Factor.
- To bill for the Service and manage accounts.
- To understand which Website pages and ad campaigns work, using anonymous visit counts.
- To improve and develop our products, using aggregated or de-identified information.
- To prevent fraud and abuse, and to meet legal and contractual obligations.
We use Customer Data only to provide the Service to the organization that entered it and as that organization instructs — never to market to its employees or candidates, and never for another customer.
4. AI features
Many LIFT Factor features use artificial intelligence — for example, drafting development plans and training content, running role-play conversations, transcribing audio, and summarizing reviews. To do this, relevant Customer Data is sent to AI model providers (currently Anthropic and OpenAI) that process it on our behalf under contractual terms that prohibit them from using it to train their models. We do not use one customer’s data to train or improve AI for another customer.
AI output can be wrong or incomplete. LIFT Factor is designed to support human judgment, not replace it: decisions about hiring, promotion, pay, or discipline should always be made by people who review the underlying information.
5. How we share information
We share information only as described here:
- Service providers who help us run the Website and Service, under contracts that require them to protect it and use it only for us: hosting and content delivery (Heroku, Cloudflare), databases and file storage, email delivery (Resend), payments (Stripe), AI processing (Anthropic, OpenAI), and logging and monitoring.
- Your organization: administrators and authorized users in your organization can see Customer Data according to the permissions your organization sets.
- LIFT’s consulting team, when your organization engages LIFT for training or support, to deliver those services.
- Advertising partners (Google, LinkedIn), only through the Website tags described in section 6 and subject to your choices there. Customer Data is never shared with advertisers.
- Legal and safety: when required by law or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of LIFT, our customers, or others.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to affected customers where practicable.
We do not sell personal information for money. Under some U.S. state laws, the Website’s ad measurement tags may count as “sharing” personal information for advertising; you can opt out as described below.
6. Website cookies and advertising tags
We may use tags from Google Ads and LinkedIn on the Website to measure which of our ads lead to demo requests. These tags can set cookies and send information about your visit (such as pages viewed and whether you requested a demo) to Google or LinkedIn, which use it under their own privacy policies.
- In the EU, EEA, UK, and Switzerland, these tags load only if you click “Accept” on our cookie banner.
- Everywhere else, they load by default. You can turn them off at any time with the “Do not sell or share my personal information” link in the Website footer.
- If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as an opt-out and don’t load these tags.
Your choice is saved in your browser; clearing your browser data resets it.
7. How long we keep information
- Customer Data: for as long as your organization’s subscription is active. After it ends, we keep it for up to 90 days so it can be exported or the account restored, then delete it, except where the law requires us to keep it longer. Your organization can ask us to delete it sooner.
- Demo requests and client introductions: for as long as they’re useful for our sales relationship with you, and you can ask us to delete yours at any time.
- Anonymous visit counts: may be kept indefinitely, since they don’t identify anyone.
- Billing records: as long as tax and accounting laws require.
8. Security
We protect information with encryption in transit, access controls that limit who can see what, and logging of sensitive actions. No system is perfectly secure. If we confirm a breach affecting your information, we will notify affected customers without undue delay and as required by law.
9. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or get a copy of your personal information; to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information or targeted advertising; and to object to or restrict certain uses. To make a request, email hello@liftconsultinghq.com. We will verify your request and respond within the time the law requires (generally within 45 days). We won’t treat you differently for exercising your rights.
If your information is in the Service because of your employer or a company you applied to, we will generally refer your request to that organization, since they control that data, and help them respond.
EU, EEA, UK, and Swiss residents: we rely on your consent for advertising cookies, on our legitimate interests for responding to demo requests and running the Website, and on our contract with your organization for the Service. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
10. Children
The Website and Service are for businesses and are not directed to anyone under 16. We don’t knowingly collect information from children.
11. Where information is processed
LIFT is based in the United States, and information is processed and stored in the United States. If you access the Website or Service from elsewhere, your information will be transferred to the U.S., where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We’ll post changes here with a new effective date, and if the changes are significant, we’ll notify customers by email or in the Service.
